The CDJ2000's are a bit steep for how much i'll probably use them lol. Are the CDJ900's any good or should I just go for a set of used 1000MK3's?

I'd probably prefer the MK3's but i'm just unsure about buying used goods. Any ideas?

I'm also after a DJM800 mixer or similar, and of course an amp/speaker package so any recommendations will be appreciated thanks! thumbsup

I think the CDJ 2000's are a bit overkill for the typical bedroom / occasional party DJ. For the price of one you could have a nice 2nd hand pair of 1000mk3's and a DJM600, or for a couple of hundred more an 800.

Yeah I think so too mate. Do you know what the 900's are like? I can get them brand new with warranty etc but I doubt they'll be as good as the MK3's?

I've been out the loop with equipment for years now laughing

lol.. unlucky chum, i had them up for sale on here to. not long before christmas. sure im skint now with no CDJs so its stupid selling up, unless you're REALLY stuck.

If you're going for CDJ's get the MK3's wink
I understand you cant always tell but search about first, take you're time and you'll get a mint pair thats been in guys bedroom only and not ex night club junk.

Ask do they have boxes and manuels etc as that helps if you want to sell on later in life.

I'm sure you know all this shit anyway, im waffling on lol

800's are flimsy and cheap looking compared to 1000's

1000's are the daddys, and 2000's are wayyyy overpriced,

for an extra 100, if you looked about more, you'd get 1000s and djm600.

you could get the 800s but afew months down the line you'll want mk3's, fact.

That guy just mailed me back saying yes he could ship over seas and has done so many of times.. what he said,

Ahh hi!

Yeh mate Id be able to ship no bother as I ship all the time from the many ebay sales to England, they are like absolute new and fully boxed etc.. genuinely havent seen any use for the last year and they were only purchased just under 2years ago just before cdj2000's launched, honestly closest to new 1000mk3's he would find mate, appreciate you getting back and thatd be great to get them sold, I only got one email back regards your djm but that was an offer for £200 for it which may or may not interest you think you said it was boxed etc? Is it the black or silver one?

Chat soon mate

I reckon you're looking about £25-£30 maybe with a courier. Maybe Parcel Force or DHL or something mate. Not sure about post office itself cos it'd have to be weighed etc. I'd cover all costs anyway mate.

We'd want insurance too, which you get for a few quid with couriers anyway.

Up to you mate which you use thumbsup

parcel2go.com get quotes on there for different services and they pick it up from your house. I sent a laptop to Germany on a 2 day for £23.

Don't ever choose hermes on their site lol.. hermes are a bunch of fucking retard general public who are paid by hermes to use their own cars and deliver parcels to customers, they do not ever take a delivery parcels back to the depo if you aren't at home. if you arent in then they leave it behind your bin in all weather conditions or just chuck it on your front garden in clear public view. Fucking hermes... what a joke

Much prefer the pitch on the mk3's and think the 2000's are too polished and precise. Cant describe it but i wasnt a fan.

I have the 900s, they are great and are cheeper than the 2000 but still have pretty much all the functions. The big plus of the 900's compared to the 1000's is the USB function where you put all your music on one USB  instead of CD's. I put all my music in set playlists before playing out, it even gives you the option each time you reconnct the USB to you computer of downloading sets and the order or the tracks you have played, pretty slick. I don't even bother burning to CD anymore, just use the USB.

MK3's and mixer ordered. Sorry mate I got a mixer from the same guy as the decks. thumbsup

Right, now its an amp and some speakers laughing

Any recommendation folks on a good amp/speaker setup?

I'm not after some massive bins, just a pair of monitors that have a bit of bang behind them if I crack it up a little bit. Quality over quantity though thumbsup

And of course a good power amp to power them that has the ability if needed to add some beefy speakers for parties if necessary biggrinlaughing thumbsup

Do you reckon the KRK Rokit RP8 G2 will be good enough? Save having to buy an amp too?

Yes mate I found his ad on gumtree, but didn't realise it was your guy till I chatted with him lol. Getting a pair of MK3's and a Xone 4D mixer off him too. thumbsup

Ok so i've narrowed it down to these 2.... Mackie MR8 MK2's or KRK Rokit RP8 G2's?

Anyone had any experience with these as heard good reviews for both?

I was going to go for the RP10-3's but thought it might be taking piss spending nearly £900 on speakers for mixing lol laughing

The CDJ 2000s are the dogs bolox IMO...But are well overpriced...The 900s class, pretty much the same play as the 2000s, pretty much same fuctions. Lining myself up to get a set of 900s this year myself...
