Depends on the club and who is on after you. A proper warm-up only works if the line-up as a whole works fluidly.

It depends on the club. If it's a large club/event aimed at a wide array of people then just start slow (140bpm) and go from there. I have played at smaller scale clubs/random rooms (albeit not hardhouse per say) where you must bang it out at 160bpm+ minimum unless you want a empty dance floor and be booed/heckled and have skin heads rush the stage demanding Deathchant and Mokum laughing I must admit there is nothing worse than being hyped up buzzing your tits off and the dj is playing funky house.

BAWOP 8 - start as you mean to go on. I played a NYE party once and cause I turned up first I was on first playing Hard House, unfortunately for the geezer after me he was playing house music (I didn't know this at the time) it went from me at about 155bpm, to about 125 - 135 bpm. talk about a downer. It felt like the bottom fell out. It then took ages for him to build it back up.

It was an outdoor event so people were trying to keep warm by dancing

140-145 finish. And it would really depend what kind of night is was to how I would play I think.

I would love to get the chance to do warm up sets, so much ace material about

id like to think im not bad at playing warm up material! from listening to sams warm up mix, i could probably branch out a little more and use house or techno tracks to mix it up a little, but if anyone needs someone for warm up let me knowwink
